In 2006, the Copley family, together with their staff and animals relocated from North West Province to the Grahamstown area. They are in the process of purchasing and renovating a farm in Manley Flats (between Grahamstown and Port Alfred). Jenny's Animal Behaviour practice, currently run from a rented farm, will move to Hogwallow Farm shortly, where guests and their animals will be able to stay in idyllic surroundings, whilst sorting out their issues.

Animal behaviour, or ethology, is a relatively new science, attracting a great deal of interest. Over the centuries, humans have domesticated many different animals, always for our own benefit.

In the process, we have taken animals out of their natural environments and expected them to adapt, not only to ours, but also to our rules and expectations.

An ethical animal behaviourist's job is to ensure that her human clients' and their animal companions achieve the best possible levels of communication and co-operation to the mutual benefit and enjoyment of both. This is our mission.

Most animal behavioural problems can be resolved, but the greatest successes occur when the human in the equation is willing to understand the needs of their animal companion within a human oriented environment.

The Hog-Wallow Farm Practise deals most often with the behavioural issues between dogs, cats, horses, donkeys, pet pigs and their humans. We also have experience with production and pet farm animals.
